Info on Chad's all new 2014"Fizz, Boom, READ!" show is COMING SOON!!!

New for the summer of 2013:

The "Dig Into Reading Safari!"

Come and join the fun as Chad takes his audience on a magical safari with books! Chad will showcase books that deal with different critters found in the dirt - including, but not limited to, tarantulas, scorpions, several snakes, giant millipedes, and hissing cockroaches! Besides lots of strange animals, the program will also include story telling, music, laughter, and, of course, several books will also be highlighted that go along with the "Dig Into Reading" theme. As always, the audience will learn that good readers can learn to do all kinds of things, meet all kinds of people, and go on all kinds of adventures!

"Once again Chad wowed the audience of 300+ as he kicked off the 2010 Summer Reading Program at the Statesboro Regional Library on Thursday, June 3rd, with performances at 3 libraries. Chad's natural sense of fun, his unique talent, and his wonderful ability to interact with people of all ages made his "Splash Extravaganza" a whole lot of fun for everyone! And yes, he's up to his old tricks again, but this year he's added some new twists that will have you either doubled up with laughter or sitting on the edge of your seat. You never know what to expect during Chad's show, but one thing for sure, you won't find a more exciting and versatile performer anywhere on the planet!" Elaine McDuffie, Head of Youth and Family Services, Statesboro Regional Library System

Teen Programs:

Chad's offers two versions of his program, "Authors of Mystery and Horror" to libraries for teen programs during the summer or during the school year if he is in your area with school programs. The original version of the program as seen in the picture above highlights the lives and works of Edgar Allan Poe, Bram Stoker (Dracula), Mary Shelley (Frankenstein), Arthur Conan Doyle (Sherlock Holmes), and Harry Houdini (Who also wrote several books!). Your teens will witness strange and mysterious routines that emphasize the strange connections between the aforementioned authors. After the program, you WILL have a run on all the authors/stories covered in the program - so have plenty of copies on hand for check out!

The second version of the program is similar in style, but it includes all different authors and stories and is a great follow-up if you had the original program the year before. The authors in version 2 are WW Jacobs (The Monkey's Paw), Robert Louis Stevenson (Treasure Island, Jekyll and Hyde), and HG Wells (The Time Machine, The Invisible Man, and War of the Worlds).

Special Note: If you book a program in conjunction with a local school, students can see version one during the day and then come to the library for an evening performance of version 2 - and most schools/teachers will offer extra credit for students who come to the evening program - which can make for some very, very large crowds for your teen program!

"Chad, my hat is off to you. The show was absolutely fantastic. The best programming money I have ever spent - we all loved the show - it was engaging, informational, and FUN! I had a run on the books you showcased as soon as the program ended. I have had several come back to look up other books. Several parents were very impressed that their non-readers were checking out Poe and Arthur Conan Doyle. There was a larger age range in the audience than I anticipated and you adapted and kept them all (early elementary through senior citizens) engaged. We have already had patrons asking when you would be back! Seeing the audience sit still and be entranced while they are learning about books was fantastic! It was a great show with lots of information mixed with audience participation and of course MAGIC!" Christy Stewart, Youth Coordinator, Pickens Co. Library
